Arsenal v wigan

Post by Michael Foster on Tue May 14, 2013 6:48 am

Tue 14th May 19.45 Emirates Stadium

well well the last of two......

two points adrift...

and two wins needed....

after wigan's battle for the FA cup at the weekend i am hoping its taken a bit out of them...but its a must win as it is for us...

not sure how to call this...but i do know i wont have any finger nails left by the end of it..

Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of Tuesday night's game against Wigan Athletic.
on the team news...
The news is quite good, we have everyone available. Kieran Gibbs should be back too, he has a test today.
on Lukasz Fabianski...
Fabianski is available as well.

I think Wigan will have a galvanised team spirit, determined to stay up, after their FA Cup win. Will be a very very tough game.

That's my guess, or we could smash them.

With fabianski back from injury, who will start tonight? I would go for Szczesny (have to look up that name every time), with hes decent run on late.

If we beat Wigan tonight, I'm quite sure we have the experience to seal the CL-spot against Newcastle in the final game.

As for the sentral striker position, should we let Poldi get another chance, or let Walcott use his pace against a attacking-minded Wigan?

2-1 to Arsenal:)

call him shez lol

i should think wigan will be drained after the weekend antics...we need to come out all guns blazing..early goals will wrap this one up...dont think we should do much tinkering either..to much at stake..

3-1 arsenal

Have a bad feeling about this game, we're under some real pressure to win this and our creativity for the past month has been dreadful. Really hope we can come away with a win and play with some eagerness and confidence tonight.
I'd start:
Szczesny
Sagna; Mert; Kos; Gibbs
Arteta; Ramsey
Rosicky
Ox; Walcott; Cazorla

Should be quite open which should play into our hands, we should have that little bit more in the last 20 minutes as well so on paper we look good, no telling what kind of belief and lift the FA Cup will have given them though, lets hope they are all still hungover!

so podolski will have another go at the top! Ha has to improve tonight. Put I like Poldi and belive he will do so. Gibbs also back to replace monreal, the rest is identical to the QPR-game!

COYG!!

granted but that is bad % its no wonder they are in the position they are....its all well and good chasing the FA cup but it could be at a cost...a major cost....
