Summer transfer window 2013

I can see us in big trouble in this window......what ever price we offer will no doubt be our final.....napoli will just offer more....

Higuain for £22-25m was pretty good. Not so much at £37m. If it's true that Real Madrid have hiked the price up by that amount then they can fuck the fuck off and deal with Chelsea and Napoli.

Suarez is the better player, if we're going to be spending ridiculous amounts of money then make it worth it and go for him. Yes, he's detestable, I know, but he's a superior player, who's already acclimatised to the Premier League. If Wenger thinks he can deal with the stark raving lunacy then I trust he's capable of keeping him in line.

There really aren't that many better options available either way. Rooney is a massive gamble as well. Maybe I'm just showing a lack of awareness/knowledge but I can't think of any other top strikers we could go for other than the aforementioned ones.

I think this transfer window there has been more quality players available than there often is.

Suarez, Jovetic, Higuain, Cavani, Lewandowski, Torres, Tevez, Llorente, Hulk, Negredo, Falcao, Rooney, Villa, Soldado and that's just for strikers.

There is no excuse this time for Arsenal.

None of them is super exceptional high quality like Gervinho

Fucking hell Man city is in overdrive regarding signings. Fernandinho, Navas, Nagredo and Jovetic. Each of them costing nearly 30mil!
and we're just here, chill'n. Our signings have been So-no-go (terrible I know).

Lets not get too worked up.. still plenty of time left - but it does look like all our targets are fading away.

Like I've said earlier, better just to believe we aren't signing anyone and just deal with what we have - we'll still probably win the top 4 trophy come the end of the season (shudder).

On a positive note, Flamengo has signed Andre Santos on a 2 year deal. More deadweight lifted. It's on their official website

Benteke signed new deal another possibility gone....


This is starting to look a little worrying.....Suarez is going to be a must....

This should have been a window of intent....and business done early.....looks ever more increasingly like a mad scramble at the end of the window and using league games to get players settled....again......

Reports coming out saying we've agreed a 25M deal for Bernard. And Navas is the only one of City's signings that actually seem threatening to me. Jovetic's scoring record isn't too impressive, and Fernandinho and Negredo are relatively unproven at a later stage in their careers.

Is Bernard an attacking mid? I thought that was a position we are fairly strong, and only the quality of Cesc would see us invest there.

No, he's a winger. And speaking of, Cesc has been telling his buddies that he'd only go back to England to play for Arsenal. So hopefully that holds true this summer.

Manchester City's signings aren't that great you know. I don't know who the fuck Paulinho is, Negredo and Navas are Sevilla/Villareal level players (Sevilla and Villareal of 3-4 years ago) and not so sure bout Jovetic. I'd go nuts if we had spent that much money on average players.

Paulinho's the one the spuds signed not city, he played for Brazil in the confeds cup? Fernandinho on the other hand is the one city signed, 30mil for a guy who's 28 years old and can't even get near the Braxil national team is admittedly stupid. As for the other 3, I'd hardly call them average, non of them are world class granted but they are all proper quality players who will give city some depth and a new dimension. City will always be overpaying for players now cause that's the position they've put themselves in, we'd never pay that much for those same players.

We seriously need to get out there in the market sooner rather than later though, I'd hate for us to have to use League games for bedding in new players, that's what pre-season is for!

Why is Per wearing the newly vacated number 2 jersey? Mmmm maybe a certain former captain who likes the number 4 is coming back?

There could be a lot of truth in that number becoming free but are there any others that have been shuffled?

Diaby took 22 or whatever not really significant and Sanogo took something I don't really cre what it is. Per took/is taking/is mistakenly wearing number 2, 4 is vacant. Come on Cesc, you know what to do.

I know everyone spoke that van persie would never join united...but I trully belive cesc would never do it...for one he has had to many run ins with the club to then join them and put it all to rest...
