I'd be suprised if Chamakh left now, especially with the Van Persie saga ongoing. Lets face it every squad needs a level of depth and whether we are playing one or two up front this season we need options and cover.

Despite what seems to be only forward signings in the last two years if Van Persie does leave we have Podolski, Giroud and Chamakh who can play through the middle, maybe Walcott if we go with two but I doubt that will happen. So the depth really still isnt there for me, Chamakh as a third choice, playing one striker is probably needed, as things stand.

I think that maybe 2 or 3 of our "deadwood" will leave right at the end of the window, once we have played a couple games and they havent even made the bench like Squillaci or Arshavin maybe.

There are a couple of mumblings around Squillaci to Olympiakos for maybe 1 million? Id just be satisfied with losing his wages each week.

Sky Sports understands AC Milan are weighing up a move for Arsenal midfelder Denilson.

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is in the market for a defensive midfielder and Denilson is thought to be on his radar.

Denilson is currently on loan at Sao Paulo after finding first-team chances limited at the Emirates.

The Brazilian came through the youth ranks at Sao Paulo before joining Arsenal in August 2006 and he enjoyed a successful spell back on loan at his former club last season.

Clause

Denilson made 37 appearances for Sao Paulo and the club moved to sign him on loan again this term.

However, there is a clause in his contract which enables Arsenal to cancel the loan and sell Denilson to another club should they receive a suitable offer.

The Gunners are believed to be willing to offload Denilson and the news has alerted Milan who are preparing a bid for the talented midfielder.

Another Italian club and sides from Russia are thought to be monitoring Denilson's situation as they look to tempt Arsenal into selling the South American on a permanent basis.

Good news if it happens....another one out the door that is not for us....maybe a player in exchange...tho I doubt we will se much return on him..

So, its Wednesday, not long to go and in the last week we've seen two fairly promising youngster leave in Bartley and Lansbury.

Still at the club and not featured at all in the squads for the first two league games are Squillaci, Park, Bendtner and Chamakh, Arshavin made the bench in the first game but not Stoke...

I guess if no one is willing to take some of these players then we are pretty stuck with them, I certainly think Squillaci and Park should just be offered mutual termination of their contracts, they are no use at all and must be on some wedge.

Seriously how much must these guys be on if we can't even shift them, so frustrating!

Then again, the degree of their flop has been nothing short of amazing, you can't predict that.

Still, I think Bendtner will go, maybe Arshavin.

Out of all the big clubs, Arsenal has wasted the least on flops like Veron, Schevchenko, Djemba Djemba, Kleberson, Bentley, Robbie Keane, Babel, Downing, Carroll etc etc etc

I don't pay any attention to the Deadwood in our squad.

We'll obviously never rival them in the flop department for the simple fact we don't spend like they do. We'll never have a 20+ mil flop because we simply won't spend that (in the foreseeable future).

Juventus are showing us the way forward. They couldn't get Van Persie ,so they opt for Bendtner...we should keep him!
He hasn't played for us in so long, it would be different this time !

We still have Park, Chamakh and Arshavin (of they're leaving), and Squillaci. Now that we got Olympiacos in our Cl group stage, we should pay them to take Squillaci.

Bendtner is by no means a bad player, remember two seasons ago how important he was to us in the 2nd half of the season, scoring crucial goals to help us to CL qualification. His only problem is that he believes he's better than what he actually is and thought he had to start ahead of the likes of RVP. I think he'll be very successful at Juve.

Bendtner's problems were all off the field complaining and not being happy at the club, remember the game where he fell out with Adebayor on the pitch that was the beginning of the end for me, if we played a slightly different system and he actually got 10-12 starts in a row then I think he would have scored 15 goals a season for us, still better than Chamakh but doesnt like Arsenal anymore.

I think Bendtner will boss it in the Italian league if he is played regulary and in his right position. I don't blame him for wanting to leave Arsenal for first team football and to not be played out on the right as a sub a lot etc at least he hasn't left for more money unlike some...

I expect someone to come in for him but I wont be upset if he is still here, can still make our bench and be rotated in in the cups, but he must know he wont be starting in the league ever again.

Yeah I agree out of those four he is the only one I'd be satisfied with as an option from the bench. From the start of matches he won't track back and that doesn't work with our tactics. But coming off the bench for fifteen or twenty minutes he can run around and has the ability to pick out a good pass and keep the ball.
