And a workrate of zero...you'd have to have two Scott Parkers next to him to make up for it.

Let's not forget that Arsha has real quality passes and a great shot on him.

Dude no. Rosicky is good enough and Arsha can not play anywhere in our system. 10 needs to track back, I dont think arshavin even knows what that means

Arsha should go. I'm one of his big fans but I can't stand seeing him wasting balls and not running at all.

A midfield of M'Vila, Arteta/Song, Arshavin might not be bad.

Not enough regular dynamics going forward in my opinion...good but could be better...

Arshavin must go. He isn't willing to play for the system, if he's going to be useful, we have to build our team around him, like Russia does. That way he doesn't need to track back and be in the optimum position to go forward and initiate attacks. He's also not athletic/fit enough to play a whole season in England playing at his best.

Re: The deadwood departures

Brazilian defender Pedro Botelho has expressed his relief after completing a move from Arsenal back to Atletico Paranaense in his homeland.

The 22-year-old moved to the Emirates Stadium from Figueirense in 2007 but was immediately loaned out to Spanish side Salamanca in a bid to secure a work permit.

Further spells at Celta, Cartegena and Rayo Vallecano followed, with the most recent loan deal taking him to Levante during the second half of last season.

The full-back has now returned to Brazil on a permanent deal, leaving the Gunners without making a first-team appearance.

"It was about time I returned to Brazilian football," he told the club's official website.

"I'm still too young and I want to know Brazilian football as I barely played here."

Another one gone. He may have been the most pointless signing we've made in the last few years. I hope we weren't paying all of his wages whilst he was on loan.

I bet we were but this is good, seems like its easier to find the South Americans homes than anybody else.

Im shocking Bendtner, Arshavin and Squillaci are still here and there are barely any rumours about them either...painfull!

I fully and I mean fully expect to see bellendtdner in an arsenal shirt this season....

I don't know why but something is telling me Wenger wants to keep him...

I've got absolutely no problem with Bendtner staying, I think he's much better than most people (other than himself) give him credit for. I do of course understand his desire to leave to play more elsewhere.

I must admit when he first joined he was showing a real desire to do well for the team..
In games his work rate excellent...strong also,it's in one way a shame the faithful jumped on his back so soon....but there are a whole catalogue of reasons we now see why...

Agree with that. I think he actually wants to stay and make it at Arsenal but also wants first team opportunities, not to be a back-up player or be played on the right side, so I get why he might go. But if he stays I won't complain as I much prefer Bendtner over Park or Chamakh.

I can't see him staying unless we change our formation to play two strikers. If he stays he'll be third choice after Poldi and Giroud, not something he'd be happy with.

Bendtner, and RVP's, faces were photoshopped on to Mertesacker's body so I don't think either will be staying.

If Bendtner was British we could have sold him to Liverpool for 35 mil.

That's hilarious. Seems the RVP situation is very much in the air - makes me laugh at those who think it's some grand conspiracy theory to force the club to spend.

(although I think he may end up having to stay...)

Almunia has joined Watford.

Denilson has gone back to Brazil on loan.

Vela has been sold - the form he was in at the end of last season, would have hoped to get more for him.

Squillaci and Bendtner have not been included in the squad for Germany.

Also still need to find a buyer for Park.

Chamakh's situation is more complicated - Wenger will probably keep him around till the van Persie situation becomes clearer (being optimistic that he will be an Arsenal player for one more season).

Arshavin - Alleged interest from Turkey (Fenerbache or Galatasaray), QPR, Fulham and Newcastle.

By the way, does someone know how much did we get for him?
