Arsenal V Man City
Huge huge game at home on Sunday, a win and it might give us the confidence to push on and really propel us forward. A loss and we lose further ground on the leaders and potentially the other teams in and around us for 4th...one goal in the last three fixtures doesnt bode well but I think there will be more than one goal in the game this year.

Re: Arsenal V Man City
Well huge games like this we tend to do well....
I am feeling quietly confident about this one...getting Theo to sign before this would also be a little boost for the team....I actually think we can pull a win and keep them from scoring...call me crazy..
Going for a simple 1-0 win...podolski

Hahaha.....some you win some you lose!
All jokes aside I honestly think we will do them...our second half to the season now really starts to kick off.
Our next three domestic games are Chelsea, west ham,Liverpool....if we shy away from this is going to be hard for the upcoming ones..

Re: Arsenal V Man City
A little early team news....
Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of the Manchester City match on Sunday:
on the latest updates... Everyone is fit from last weekend apart from Olivier Giroud. He has not been practising because of the cut on the knee he got at Swansea. We’ll have a final test on Saturday to see if he is involved against Man City. It is a 50:50. We’ll see.
on Santos and Diaby… I want to see how they react to the under-21 game they played in midweek. But we have so many games coming up now, it is good they are back.
on Fabianski… He is not far away [from full training] now, two or three weeks.
In an ideal world I would like to see Abu see some of this match...we have missed him...

Team news is up on .com no Giroud against City and Santos/Diaby to be assessed after the U21 game but AW mentions the amount of games coming up, I would suspect we'll see Diaby in the cup game and not City.

Shame Wenger didn't make any signings before this match. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Just seeing Theo sign could be the little edge of bonus....

Agree completely get that stalling twat to sign on then worry about people coming in, M'Vila will end up in Russia me thinks.

From the big teams, Man City are probably the only team we play relatively well against. We can win 1-0 2-1

Good for us that Yaya Toure, Aguero and Nasri are out for this game. Kolo Toure is also out but that's probably a plus for City as he is shit.
Also, if Giroud is injured and our first choice striker(s) are struggling to score, which if recent home games against City are anything to go by might be the case (two 0-0's and a late 1-0 win), who comes on to offer a different threat?

Shit...with Giroud out, we don't even have a backup striker! Front line of Podolski, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, but what then?

If one of those players doesnt start or comes off Cazorla can play wide, or Ramsey as Wenger seems to like, or Rosicky as i'd prefer!

Chamakh is at West Ham, Gervinho is at CAN, Arshavin is probably on his way out...we actually have no options.

Yeah but I'd rather keep Santi behind the striker. Ramsey probably will end up out wide as a substitute, maybe the same will happen with Rosicky...Either way, its a very makeshift solution

Is it more makeshift than Chamakh or Gervinho Hisham? I dont think so, they are hardly worldbeaters are they.

Loving the love for Rosicky. Remember last season Wenger persisting with Ramsey pre Christmas time and time again? As soon as Rosicky came into the side we were a different beast, he needs to play more. It's my biggest Wenger gripe of the season, why the fuck is he not getting minutes?!

I agree i'd love to see him squeezed in and I very much think he will start a few games in January, we have a hectic schedule now.

Good point haha. I would take at least Rosicky over those two. Ramsey? Eh...

We only have half a striker going into a match against the Champions. Brilliant! What if Theo gets injured after 5 minutes? Poldi, who has played a total of something like 60 minutes there this season will take his place? Damn!

Doubt it was peanuts. Interested to see what he does at Chelsea but not overly fussed we didn't get him (although wouldn't have minded if we had)
