I'm a bit past halfway in A Game of Thrones. It's amazing. I'm loving it. I had a bit of a look at the cast for the tv series, and by the age of some of the actors, they've clearly toned it down for tv.

I'm currently reading "Angels and Demons". I recently finished "The Da Vinci Code" and "The Lost Symbol". All by Dan Brown,

For me Dan Brown is getting too similar now. The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons were the first two I read and I enjoyed them, but the rest I found myself knowing what would happen

I started with "The Lost Symbol" and it's my favorite till now. I broke 3 codes in "The Da Vinci Code" and this one seems boring. But I'm on page 328, so I should finish it, I guess.

The Song of Ice and Fire series is unbelievably good. The 3rd book 'A Storm of Swords' is probably the best book I've ever read.

I'm currently reading 'Gardens of the Moon' by Steven Erikson. I'm 200 pages in and I still have no clue what's going on... but I'm enjoying it nonetheless.

If you liked those two then I think it's safe to say you'll enjoy this one.

Yeah, Dan Brown used to be a terrible author of good stories, until he became quite famous, and now he's a terrible author of terrible books that are the same as the last one, except the religious/mythical artifacts are different.

I'm on the second book of The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. It's pretty cool so far. Even from the first book alone you can see it's influence on modern shows which have borrowed parts from it, espescially Lost, which used its theme of salvation and 'the man in black' etc

The Underground Man by Mick Jackson was pretty good too. Not great but good.

I got the fifth book during the holidays, but I've yet to start reading it, the others in the series are pretty excellent. Current;y I'm reading thinking fast and slow by Daniel Kahnemann, pretty fascinating so far.

About 300 pages into Clash of Kings (the bit where they find Qarth).

Absolutely brilliant. Have the others up to Feast of Crows sitting on the side waiting to be read. Just phenomenal books, the characters are well written, the attention to detail in the universe is brilliant, the story is good, and the character stories are both distinctly separate and intertwined at the same time.

I just hope Martin is able to finish the series. We probably won't see The Winds of Winter for ages considering he took 5 years between Storm and Feast and 6 years after that to release Dance... Hopefully the fact that there's a TV series now might make him focus more on the series rather than all the other stuff he seems to get stuck on.

I hate it when authors take a huge gap in between books. Chritopher Paolini had me waiting forever. Hope Martin has a new book in by the time I'm done with the current books.
