This is same like last season. Bottling against the smaller teams. In that run we had one superb win against United and this season we had one against City. Totally outplayed by Wigan.

just fuck off what a shocking display. Yet again our hard work gets undone by a gutless, complacent performance

I TOLD ALL OF YOU! No seriously. I called it. Complacency. Underestimating the opposition... We've been here before!

Who was the ref today? Turned a blind eye to everything Wigan did but made it a point to stop the game every time Arsenal were on a break.

The ref was an absolute cunt. Yes our performance was terrible, but what a fucking joke. How much time did they waste? Disgraceful, I hope they get relegated.

This mess was of our own creation - at this stage of this season we couldn't afford to find ourselves behind against any side with anything to play for - let alone a resurgent Wigan.

Fuck the shit. Whats the use if we win against Citeh if we lose to relegation fodder scum like QPR, Wigan?!
The Ref was a disgrace. He didnt let the game flow and was blowing his whistle at every small duell. Although it was obvious that Wigan were playing TimeWasteball. For example, Di Santo kicked the ball twice away and wasnt even booked. What a disgrace. CUNT.
Damn. Instead of being in comfortable position, now Chelsea has become atleast MUST-NOT-LOSE game.

Very short of ideas today. The shape of our midfield was never symmetrical all game. May be the absence of Arteta was a factor? I think so. Neither were there much decisive movement infront of the wigan back four. But that again could be due to the absence of Mikel's intelligent passes from the deep. I hope he's ok and fit for Chelsea, because it just shows how much our midfield depends on him lately.

Re: Arsenal vs Wigan Match Thread
A shocking performance tonight. The minute Arteta came off it was game over for us.
We were poor throughout the pitch really. Constantly exposed at the back, lack of composure, concentration and complete complacency.
Sagna had an absolute nightmare tonight. Moses tore him apart from start to finish. Ramsey and Gervinho have been atrocious since the turn of the year. Gervinho's performances, since Christmas, have been no better than Arshavin's when he was playing poorly.
Walcott can't play football with a defence in front of him. He did one good thing all game which was to pull the defender towards him for the goal which allowed Vermaelen space for his goal.
No plan B. No alternative for RVP and no striker to play alongside him.
We've actually been quite poor in three of our last four games. QPR all over again and I tell you weren't much better against ten man Wolves.
Still A LOT of work to do. We really need to step it up in the last few games.
